West Midlands Vascular Unit Meeting

The vascular units in the West Midlands are excited to announce and invite you to a meeting of all units across the West Midlands on 15th October 2021 at the Macdonald Burlington Hotel https://www.macdonaldhotels.co.uk/our-hotels/the-midlands-wales/birmingham/macdonald-burlington-hotel

There are easy connections to public transport and nearby car parking (The Birmingham Town Hall (Red Cage) car park is the closest, located on Navigation Street, postcode B5 4AF).

This catered meeting will start with lunch at 1200 and run until 1800, with abstract presentations from all trainees, an update on the Vascular Training Program by Alok Tiwari (Vascular TPD), and the launch of VARICS (Vascular Research and Innovation Consortium) by Maciej Juszczak, Ruth Benson and Mike Wall.

We plan to run this meeting every 6 months hosted in turn by each unit. There will be an open discussion as to the format of future meetings, and identification of areas for collaboration - both clinical, and research.

The meeting is open to all consultants, vascular scientists, junior doctors, nurses and other allied health professionals who work in the six West Midlands vascular units.
